Privacy Policy

SHWRK builds and operates software products, including LinkGuard, SeoAudit, TagTidy, and DiscountIQ (the “Apps”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use SHWRK websites or install an App in a Shopify store.

Shopify App policies

Each Shopify App has a policy that describes its specific Shopify access and retained App data:

Information the Apps handle

To authenticate a Shopify store and provide the Apps, we process the shop domain and the Shopify OAuth session information supplied by Shopify. An OAuth session can include the installing staff member’s name and email address, along with the access token required to act on the store’s behalf.

The Apps access only the store data needed for their features. LinkGuard and SeoAudit inspect catalog and store content to report link or SEO issues. TagTidy reads and changes product tags when a merchant directs it to do so. DiscountIQ reads and manages discount configurations selected by the merchant; its Shopify Function can compare a signed-in buyer’s customer tags with the merchant’s configured VIP tags at checkout. The Apps do not store customer records or customer tags.

Why we use information

  • Authenticate the merchant and keep the App connected to the store.
  • Run the scan, audit, cleanup, or discount workflow requested by the merchant.
  • Maintain a history of App results for that store and provide support.
  • Protect the Apps, investigate errors, and meet legal obligations.

Storage, sharing, and security

App data is hosted through Cloudflare infrastructure and Shopify provides the platform APIs used by the Apps. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the Apps, when required by law, or with the merchant’s direction. We do not sell personal information or use App data for advertising unrelated to the Apps.

We use HTTPS, Shopify’s authenticated API flows, and verified webhook delivery to protect App data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards for the information we process.

Retention and deletion

When Shopify sends an uninstall or shop-redaction webhook, the relevant App deletes its stored shop data and OAuth session. The Apps acknowledge Shopify customer-data and customer-redaction webhooks because they do not retain customer data. You can also request assistance with a data or privacy question at contact@shwrk.com.

Your choices

You can remove an App from Shopify at any time. If you have questions about this policy or want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account, contact us at contact@shwrk.com.

We may update this policy when the Apps or applicable requirements change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
