DiscountIQ Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SHWRK handles information when a merchant installs or uses DiscountIQ in a Shopify store.

Information we process

To authenticate a Shopify store and provide DiscountIQ, we process the shop domain and Shopify OAuth session information supplied by Shopify. Session information can include the installing staff member’s name and email address, along with the access token required to act on the store’s behalf.

DiscountIQ accesses only the Shopify information needed for its features:

• Discount configurations and discount status needed to create, preview, activate, deactivate, and manage campaigns.
• The merchant-configured VIP tag values used by the Shopify Function at checkout.

DiscountIQ does not request the Shopify Admin customer scope and does not store customer records or customer tags. Its Shopify Function evaluates the buyer tags Shopify supplies at checkout against merchant-configured values.

Information we store

• The shop domain and Shopify OAuth session information needed to keep the App connected.
• DiscountIQ relies on Shopify to retain discount campaigns and their configurations in the merchant’s store.

Why we use information

• Authenticate the merchant and keep the App connected to the store.
• Run the workflow requested by the merchant and show its results.
• Maintain App history for the merchant and provide support.
• Protect the App, investigate errors, and meet legal obligations.

Storage, sharing, and security

App data is hosted through Cloudflare infrastructure, and Shopify provides the platform APIs used by the App. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the App, when required by law, or at the merchant’s direction. We do not sell App data or use it for advertising unrelated to the App.

We use HTTPS, Shopify’s authenticated API flows, and verified webhook delivery to protect App data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards for the information we process.

Retention and deletion

When Shopify sends an uninstall or shop-redaction webhook, DiscountIQ deletes its stored shop data and OAuth session. The App acknowledges Shopify customer-data and customer-redaction webhooks because it does not retain customer data. You can also request help with a privacy or data question at support@shwrk.com.

Your choices and contact

You can remove DiscountIQ from Shopify at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account, contact support@shwrk.com and include your shop domain. For product help, visit DiscountIQ support.

We may update this policy when the App or applicable requirements change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
